Dr. Deidra Bird Kokel, D.D.S., PC

Dr. Deidra Bird Kokel is a native of Petersburg, Virginia which is located south of Richmond. She graduated with honors from Virginia Commonwealth University. At an accelerated pace, she completed her undergraduate degree in three years, and then attended the Medical College of Virginia for dental school. She completed her residency in Advanced General Dentistry at the University of Maryland in Baltimore.

Dr. Kokel has been practicing since 1992, and in 1996 took over Dr. Larry Orme’s practice in Leesburg, Virginia. The practice started out in a tiny building on King Street, and then it moved to its current location in 2000.
In addition to receiving her degrees, Dr. Kokel has taken many continuing education courses. The most recent include laser proficiency and aesthetic courses at Nash Institute.
Dr. Kokel lives in Leesburg with her husband and two sons. She is an active participant in the Donated Dental Program and the Loudoun Headstart Adoption Program. During dental health month, she volunteers through the Loudoun County Dental Clinic by doing cavity screening for children in a local elementary school. She sponsors Central Loudoun Basketball team and the Loudoun County Science Fair, as well as a multitude of other organizations ranging from the Loudoun Chorale to the Loudoun Arts Council. Dr. Kokel is an active member in her church where she teaches the Preschool Sunday School Class.
Dr. Jan Walker, D.D.S

Dr. Jan Walker is a native of Rock Hill, South Carolina. She attended Winthrop University where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Biology. Dr. Walker has always had a passion for dentistry. She worked as a dental assistant before deciding to pursue an education in dentistry. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the Howard University College in Washington, D.C. After graduation, she decided to associate in a private practice in South Carolina.

Dr. Walker strives to treat her patients with the highest quality dental treatment available and to keep her patients well-informed. She enjoys working with children. Dr. Walker now resides in Fairfax County. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, swimming, traveling, shopping, and watching sports.
Becky Orcutt

Becky graduated in 1984 from Onondaga Community College in Syracuse, New York. She received her Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene. Becky has enjoyed working with Dr. Kokel since 1998. She has resided in Leesburg since 1994 with her husband and three children.

Denise started working for Dr. Kokel in May of this year. She graduated with honors from the Dental Assistant program at Willow Street Vocational School in Lancaster, PA in 1978. She received her certification in 1995 while she was the program manager for the dental assistants program at Tidewater Tech in Virginia Beach. She was the OSHA coordinator for a thriving practice in Spotsylvania, Virginia. She now resides in Hedgesville, West Virginia with her husband and their combined families of six children.

Elaine is a native of Richmond, Virginia. She attended Averett College in Danville, Virginia. Elaine has been working in the dental field since 1985. She is married and has resided in Leesburg since 1999.

Erica is originally from Northeastern Ohio. In 2002, she moved to Loudoun County in pursuit of a teaching position. After four years of teaching English, Erica decided to change careers. She has enjoyed learning a new field and working for Dr. Kokel. When not at work, Erica spends her time socializing with friends, participating in church activities, and buying jewelry.

Judy Forsythe

Judy is a registered dental hygienist. She graduated with honors from the University of Mississippi with a Bachelor's of Science degree. She then attended the University of Tennessee and once again graduated with honors, earning a Bachelor's degree in Allied Health Dental Hygiene. Judy has worked in the dental field for over 25 years, and has enjoyed working for Dr. Kokel since 1997. She lives in Leesburg with her husband and daughter.

Linda has been working as Dr. Kokel's head dental assistant since 1999. She graduated from the Dental Assisting Program at Northern Virginia Community College in 1979 and became a certified dental assistant. She enjoys learning new techniques, and she keeps up to date by taking continuing education courses. Linda worked part-time while raising her two sons. She resides with her husband and two dogs in Clarke County and is active in her church in Hamilton.

Patty is a lifelong resident of Loudoun County. She graduated from Loudoun Valley High School in 1985. She married her husband Jerry in 1986, and they reside in Lincoln with their two sons. Patty started working in the dental field in 1987. She has enjoyed working with Dr. Kokel since 1997.

Adam is a registered dental hygienist. He graduated from the West Virginia University School of Dentistry with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene. Adam enjoys working with patients of all ages. He lives in Ashburn. He loves the geography and activities available in this area. In his spare time, Adam likes to make people laugh and plays guitar. |

Holly is a native of Mentor, Ohio. She began working in the dental field in 1983 after attending the Cleveland Institute for Dental and Medical assistants. Holly has always enjoyed dentistry and had a desire to continue her career as a dental hygienist. However, God had other plans, and Holly is now happily married and rearing five awesome children. Holly enjoys everything and is very flexible, so she is now a taxi driver. |
